2nd July - ACE BUSHY SQUIRRELS DEBUT SHOW, Soundbar, Birmingham
Our super university band friend Leg!-End X were about to play their last ever show, aww. We were asked to play but as Jeremy was in Brighton and unavailable to do some rock, we took the chance to try out an Ace Bushy Squirrels set.
It was a tiny bit of a train wreck. No one who hadn't seen us play a proper punk set really got what we were trying to do and I think we got heckled at one point for being obnoxious and rubbish. We were supposed to play 'Totally Ice Cream' as well but despite it being on the setlist in front of us we managed to miss it out completely. In our defence, the ukulele was working intermittently throughout the set and Arjun had to hit the glockenspiel so hard to be heard that each note was going sharp. Excuses excuses.
Leg!-End X and Heroica made up for our dirge by being slick and awesome, especially Leg-End what with their costumes and songs. This shit is Legendx. L-E-G-E-N-D-X.
